'Daily AI use rose from 33% to 41% since August, and 28% now use AI several times a day, up from 19%.
'The Adoption Index climbed to 55 and the Confidence Index to 40: the gap between how much Americans use AI and how confident they feel about it widened from 12 points to 15.
'20% use AI regularly for their job, up from 13%, and 76% of workers who use it say it makes them more productive.
'Among 30–44s, the share using AI several times a day jumped from 30% to 45% since August; among adults 65 and older, it was 10% in August and 7% in September.
'31% have used AI for company, emotional support or conversation, up from 23%, and the share saying AI companions make loneliness worse fell from 45% to 36%.
